Pumpkins

Grams and Papa Jensen had us over last Sunday for a little Haloween get together. We ate food (way to much food) and carved pumkins. Poor Marc stayed home sick. Darn it! The kids had a great time and even got their own little pumpkin.

General Conference

General Conference was so amazing this year. We enjoyed it so much. Even the kids settled down and listened for a few minutes. We set them up with pillows, snacks and their stuffed animals and they seemed pretty content. (For a few minutes at least.)

I feel so blessed to be a member of the church and to have a living prophet. I love listening to General Conference; it always uplifts me and makes me want to be a better person. Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

Despite the changes which come into our lives and with gratitude in our hearts, may we fill our days—as much as we can—with those things which matter most. May we cherish those we hold dear and express our love to them in word and in deed.
-President Thomas S. Monson

The next time you’re tempted to groan, you might try to laugh instead. It will extend your life and make the lives of all those around you more enjoyable……
The third thing we can do is understand the principle of compensation. The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude.
-Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

Preschoool

My baby girl is growing up. She is now going to preschool. She just goes twice a week up to the college. She absolutely loves it. She loves all her "fun teachers" (Kinlee's words) and the frogs in her classroom.

This was the very first day of preschool. We even did her hair in rollers the night before so she would look extra cute.
It is a very early morning for us. We are used to getting up around 9:00, but she has to be at school at 8:20! It has taken some adjustment, but we are finally on a new schedule. We took this picture by the car right before we left. Kinlee was so amazed that the sun was barely waking up.

And here she is by her classroom door. Her class is call the Jitter bugs. It has been a really fun experience for her and I am so glad she is enjoying it. I just can't believe she's growing up so fast. I think I am going to have a nervous breakdown when she goes to Kindergarten.
